Educational Qualifications:-
Indian Economic Service (IES) – Candidates should have a Postgraduate degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Business Economics, or Econometrics from a recognized university.
Indian Statistical Service (ISS) – Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, or Applied Statistics from a recognized university.

1. Visit the UPSC Official Website , Head to [www.upsc.gov.in](https://www.upsc.gov.in) to start your application.
2. Fill the Online Application Form – Complete the registration by entering all your necessary details. Ensure that all information provided is accurate.
3. Upload Documents ,You’ll need to upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and any other required documents.
4. Pay the Application Fee ,The payment can be made via cash at an SBI branch, net banking, credit/debit cards, or UPI as mentioned earlier.
5. Submit the Application, Once all details are filled and the fee is paid, submit your application. Make sure to download and keep a copy of the filled form and payment receipt for future reference.
6. DAF Submission, After clearing the written exam, candidates must submit the Detailed Application Form (DAF), available online from 20th September 2024 to 4th October 2024.
Exam Pattern and Syllabus
The UPSC IES/ISS exam consists of two stages:
1. Written Examination – A total of 1000 marks (both objective and descriptive type papers).
– For IES, there are subjects like General English, General Studies, and various Economics-related papers.
– For ISS, the subjects include General English, General Studies, and different papers related to Statistics.
2. Interview/Personality Test – After clearing the written exam, candidates are called for a personality test, which carries 200 marks.
